Legalities

CityWhiskers (Karen and a volunteer) have full Public Liability Insurance and holds a Disclosure Scotland Certificate, these documents are presented at the consultation visit.

Once you have decided that this cat sitting service for you, you will be asked to complete a contract of agreement at the consultation visit, authorising citywhiskers to care for your cat giving them access to your house and in your absence act as guardian for your cat.

Citywhiskers acknowledges that cats should be kept in their natural environment to eliminate stress, however if you have cats that do not have access to a cat flap then  we would prefer they are normally kept indoors whilst in their care.

If cats have access to a cat flap  then we are happy to have them going out as normal, keeping their routine. If your cat go missing or we suspect your cat is missing, we will contact you, and we will continue to provide care for your cat until your return. We will notify your emergency contact, Cats Protection Glasgow Branch lost and found and your vet. Citywhiskers cannot be held responsible for the safety and wellbeing if your cat have access to outdoors, however Citywhiskers ethos is to treat and care for every cat, as if it were their own and would respond accordingly to any given situation.

Payment to be paid in full  at the time of commencing the job. If there is insufficient cat food, litter etc these will be purchased on your behalf and full payment/reimbursement paid to Citywhiskers on return of key (there will be a charge of a visit cost added to return key). Alternatively Bacs transfer will be accepted and agreed before hand.

Contract Cancellation: If notice is given to Citywhiskers 7 days prior to entering the contract there will be no cancellation fee (normal cancellation fee 50% of total contract). If the customer cancels within/during the contract there will be no refund (i.e. should the customer come back early for whatever reason, no refund will be available).
